Tipi wedding tablesettings
Are you organizing a tipi wedding and looking for some tablescape inspiration? We've curated a collection of gorgeous images from some of our beautiful tipi weddings.
These tables, designed and decorated by our couples (along with some from our open days and styled shoots), feature a blend of floral arrangements, stationery, glassware, custom table numbers, textures, and vibrant candles.

One of the great things about having a tipi wedding (there are lots of course) as opposed to a formal hotel setting or function room, is that you can style your wedding your own way, basically anything goes!
Crockery - In terms of crockery and plates, you could opt for china, vintage crockery or go for organic style palm plates, which are very popular with out tipi weddings. China brings a touch of elegance to the table setting, whereas palm plates can add a much more textural, natural and rustic feel. You can also add charger plates for decorative appeal and layers.
Cutlery / Flatware - Make sure you have cutlery available for each course, but it's totally up to you how you would like to lay out your tables - a fork, knife and spoon may be sufficient for your guests. You can discuss this with our caterer beforehand. Basic rules are to work your way in from the outside, towards the centre with salad / fish fork and dinner fork to the left and dinner knife, fish/salad knife to the right with the dessert spoon to the right or horizontally above the plate/charger.
Glassware - Red or white wine glass, champagne glass (for toasts) and water glass. You can choose from options including clear glass, colourful glass or crystal glassware.
Napkins - Napkins or serviettes are another little detail that can make a big impression on your table setting. They can add softness and texture with fabrics including linen, cotton or cheesecloth.
Lighting - White or coloured candles, glass candle cylinder holders and decorative candle jars add another layer and soft intimate lighting to the tables - depending on what time you plan to eat of course! Some of our couples opt for fairy lights or led candles too.

Menu cards and place names - There are plenty of options to get creative - you can design these yourself (Canva is ideal) or use an online printing service who have an array of templates to choose from. If you are looking for something more bespoke, look out for stationary designers (most are on Etsy) who can take your menu card and place names to the next level! There are lots of options to print on receycled paper too, depending on what type of finish, paper weight or look you would like to achieve.

Decorating with flowers - Think about how you would like flowers displayed within your tipi reception. Flower jars are a popular choice, but you can also make the most of the abundance of generous height you have within a tipi with floating flower clouds or tall table centerpieces, to display plumes of flowers for that added wow factor.
Another option is to focus on statement areas, such as the entrance or top table. We also have a blog post about tipi flowers here too.
Colour palette - From glorious festival technicolour to muted natural and organic tones - from all white to sage greens, light terracotta to rose gold, dusky pinks with blue and peach - there's an array of choices. Speak to your florist about what type of flowers will be in season when you plan your wedding or event, as this might help you when deciding on a colour scheme.
